Sitting after BBL Surgery

Sitting after BBL Surgery

Depending on the patient, and depending on the surgery procedure (how many CC’s injected, how deep, where the fat was harvested from, etc) recovery from a BBL may take anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks.

For two to three weeks after the surgery, you will feel soreness and may experience some swelling, discomfort, and bruising in the treatment area.

In order to ensure optimal results, during the recovery phase, you should avoid applying pressure to the site of the fat grafting. This means you should not conventionally sit.

However you do need rest in order to recover optimally. So Wilkoco has designed a BBL recovery pillow (coming to Amazon soon). When the BBL Pillow is used properly to sit, your weight is carried forward on your thighs rather than back onto your buttocks, and thus your butt is kept elevated off the chair surface, and so no pressure is placed on the fat- grafted area.

This is important for maximizing survival of the grafted tissue and avoiding fat cell loss due to pressure and trauma.
